Reveal IDs for WP-admin is just that, you could see the ID’s in the Admin area or back-end only, not in your public site. So the domain name has no relevance to revealing IDs in the Admin area.

Oh yea,
As a new-commer to WP. I really need to learn a bit more. I wanted to know how do i install and get active with this pluginns and where do i get download dat from.. all this. And after that, I want to see this CAT ID only in my dashboard. But the URL should be like http://www.bergain.co.uk/whsmith-dvd-rental/
Instaed of http://www.bergain.co.uk/cat ID=5

Ok, now that’s clear now. What you want is to get what is called Pretty Permalinks for your site.
Go to Settings > Permalinks and configure and update. Make sure your .htaccess file is writable. After you run the new Permalinks structure, CHMOD the .htaccess file back to 644 or 444 whichever your server can take. Good luck.
