Can’t Access WordPress FullStop.

    The problem I found is really annoying, and my own personal mistake. I installed the wordpress myself, and as you know it asked me for my email etc. on installing. So firstly I made the mistake of putting the wrong email in, by accident.

    Next I got an automatic password, which I’ve forgotten, so I cannot access my admin panel.

    And hence I cannot re-set my password, because my email isn’t right either. (Which I only Noticed when I tried to re-set my password)

    Now I tried to register on hotmail the wrong email I installed wordpress with, but it’s already registered.

    Is there anyway I can recover from this?

    Seeing the emailaddress you tried to register with hotmail already exists, means that someone else now has your password..!!

    I’d recommend to login to phpmyadmin and open the wp_users table. Then open your account and delete the password (user_pass field). Go to http://calc.wpmudev.org/md5.php and insert a new password, then click submit. Copy the outcome and paste that into the user_pass field of wp_users and save.

    You should now be able to login with your new password (and editing your email address would be a good idea 😉 ).
