An update. First made changes to .htaccess by adding (RewriteRule .* – [E=noabort:1]) but that did not work. Then changed the max_execution_time to 0 (unlimited) but still getting build interrupt.
Can this be done manually so different items are backed up one at a time and then compiled together.
Hey @nancedelia,
I would just create directory filters on some of your larger directories like your uploads directory to get the size down. Reinstall the package at the new location and then FTP all the files over that you filtered. This is usually the easiest way if your on a budget host with limitations…
Hope that helps~
Thanks for your help Cory. Sorry am not very technical so can you please elaborate on what directory filters and how can I use them to reduce their size.
Sure… When you create a package just open the Archive section on Step 1.
1. Enable file filters by clicking the checkbox.
2. Add the directory path you want to filter
3. Build the package…
The paths you added will be excluded from the package…
Thanks for the tip Cory, much appreciated.
No Problem… Hope you get things going!
Cory finally did it manually. Copied files from the old installation and pasted them in the new site folder. Created a new database with mySQL with the same name as in the earlier installation, then imported tables in PhpMyAdmin. Updated database information in wp-config. Thought I would require to make some more changes but surprisingly the site is operational on the new server. Duplicator would have been a more elegant solution but unfortunately did not work in this situation.
If you want to submit a ticket next time I can have a closer look at your logs and maybe we can pin-point the issue…
Thxs~
