Slowed Page load times dramatically – But Plugin author came to the rescue

    Initial Review below:
    An easy to use plugin that ultimately does the job, but for a site that has quite a number of products as soon as we activated the plugin our site became quite unresponsive with regards to the loading times.

    Originally I gave this plugin a two star rating because of the page load times. I was contacted by the plugin author and was notified that this was because the Free Version was not designed for a large storefront with many products.

    I advised them to put a warning message to future free users and they thought it was a good idea. With the knowledge that the support was very quick and efficient and now knowing that the Pro version can in fact support a large website I have decided to change my rating from 2 stars to 5 stars.

    Hello,
    The free version is not meant to shops with a lot of products. The pro version has more features and can support any number of products.

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    Do you perhaps have that documented somewhere? Maybe I missed it.

    If not, I would personally put a warning to free users. If I had known that, I would have probably opted to purchase the PRO version, I assumed the Pro version would do the same.

    Hopefully that is some useful feedback for you?

    I myself work with support for other WordPress Plugins and I can see that you take care of your customers. I like to add constructive criticism and not break down a plugin when giving a review.

    In light of the fact that the Free version was not designed for a large store and the support I received as well as you taking my advice to put up a warning message, I only think it would be fair to change my original rating of 2 stars to 5 stars now.
