[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] error after uploading

    Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /usr/home/deb7345/domains/alexandervanloon.nl/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/nggmeta.lib.php on line 330

    That is the error message I get after uploading four photos to a gallery with NextGEN Gallery. The four photos are 5,2 MB together, and NextGEN Gallery says the upload limit is 8 MB. However, it seems the photos uploaded fine and nothing is wrong. But it would be better of course to see the error message fixed.

    PHP version is 5.2.6, more info is here.

    I just discovered NextGEN Gallery in my search for an alternative to Gallery with the WPG2 plugin, which suddenly started giving me problems with error messages after working fine for months. NextGEN Gallery is the excellent solution for me, it’s not overkill like Gallery which uses a database, and it’s not as limited as WordPress’ built in functionality for using images. I’m very satisfied with it and I will make sure to donate some money for it’s development.

    a) Workaround : You can disable the meta import during upload

    b) try the change the line to the follow code :

    $array = $this->setArrayValue($array[$key], $stack, $value);

    if this doesn’t help, please send me one photo per email

    I just ran into this problem with NextGEN v1.3.5.

    Solution (b) solved the problem (thanks!). Rare as this error may be, I think you might want to consider implementing that code in the next version of your plugin.
