Very useful

Allows you to set up auto-generated emails and newsletters. I use it to automatically send emails to registered subscribers when a new post is published in a category that a user has subscribed to. The plugin is highly configurable including the content of the emails that get sent. I’d also suggest looking at a companion plugin called Email Subscribers – Group Selector. It allows you to set up a form that a user can use to subscribe to multiple categories at one time.
