Changing header height

Hello,

I am using the beginner theme for my website (http://rungadgetrun.com/) and would appreciate any help reducing the height of the header.

Based on what I’ve read in other threads, I’m not sure whether this can be done in the Custom CSS editor

In any event, any leads or suggestions would be most appreciated.
