• I’ve used eShop for years with digital downloads. Haven’t uploaded a new file in a year and it’s giving errors when uploading and also when you go to the downloads section I see this:

Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/content/html/wp-content/plugins/eshop/eshop-downloads.php on line 31

I believe the plugin is no longer compatible with the latest 4.6 version of WordPress.

I guess I have to move everything to WooCommerce, sigh.

  • Ping. I am looking to recreate a site that was hacked but can’t find the download that will allow me to install this plug-in. Is there any chance that this plug-in will be available again? Hope so.

I have used this plugin for years and now I’m hoping it’s just under some other name. It was perfect because it used wordpress’s posts and pages and didn’t force you to create product pages within a different plugin (like Woo does)

If I move everything to Woo (blah) then all my links die.

Looks like it has died. The latest WP update has made my site unable to add any new items for sale, adding the eShop info, price etc. just breaks the site.
As keeperbay said the beauty of eShop is that it could be used with standard posts and pages instead of creating a shop with specific products so was great for sites that are mostly a blog that sell items as well.
Can’t find anything at present that will directly replace it 🙁
