• I’m trying to migrate one WordPress site to another hosting server but during the installation process when it gets to the database updating, the installation freezes and certain percentages and eventually crash.

now my page is white with this error message – ‘Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/81/5364281/html/oscars_iron_works/wp-content/mu-plugins/gd-system-plugin.php on line 11’

Can someone tell me why this is occurring and is there a resolution to this migration issue?

  • What is that plugin, and where is the website hosted?

From the slug for the plugin, it looks like that’s a GoDaddy must-use plugin that’s part of the GoDaddy managed hosting system. If that’s the case you should delete that plugin from your local installation.

The actual error does seem to point to that file (at a minimum) not being fully transferred, or there’s something that’s GoDaddy-specific in there that’s not going to work on another platform.
