Using WordPress without a webserver?

    Hi,

    Is it possible to design a blog using WordPress without a webserver? I was planning on making a very simple blog using the WP platform but really want to finish it before paying for a webhost.

    If it is possible, could someone please explain how I would go about setting this up?

    If it matters at all, I am using an Intel Based iMac.
