WordPress local installation problem

I passed all installation steps in this tutorial

http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/xampp/

But on the last, running from my browser

http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php

I received server fatal error:

Apache HTTP Server has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
What is the problem?
