Excluding shortcode content from meta description

Hello,

is there a method of telling Yoast SEO to ignore content that falls within the shortcode tags when auto generating meta description [shortcode]so Yoast would ignore this text[/shortcode]?

The reason I ask is because my site uses shortcodes to conditionally display content to users based on role at the beginning of the post & in excerpt…these shortcodes eg “[shortcode]so Yoast would ignore this text[/shortcode]” are being used as the meta description.

Ideally I would like Yoast meta snippets to ignore content contained within shortcode tags.
