• Users are getting “502 Bad Gateway” error message when trying to submit form using Explorer browser. I have replicated this event. Submission on Chrome works fine, however, when I don’t enter CAPTCHA code and submit, I get a “502 Bad Gatewway error message. Is there anything I can do to resolve?

Update: Now Chrome is failing to submit forms as well.

Hi, can you carry out a test and deactivate all your other plugins except this one. Then carry out a test. Also can you check your server log files.

    Thank you

Specifically what should we look for on the server log files?

An IT colleague mine took a look at the page’s developer console and found some interesting issues:

He notes that there are insecure scripts attempting to load

An “uncaught Syntax error” is generated. He said that apparently the code is at the minimum not syntactically correct, and at the worst, this syntax issue could be causing our problems.

Here is the page URL https://4cflorida.org/careers/

Is it possible to revert back to a previous version of the plugin?

Hi, can you share more information in regards to the following comment.

    Sure:

“the site is generating calls to insecure scripts as identified by the small icon next to the Star in the browser bar. Using the developer console (by pressing F12) we can see more details about the insecure scripts being pointed to insecure (non https) locations. I don’t believe this is the cause of the resume problem cause I allowed the insecure scripts and attempted to submit, but received the same error.”

Hopefully that means something to you, because, truthfully, he lost me at “insecure scripts.”

But what I can tell you is that this morning I deactivated all plugins. Then activated FS Contact Form, tested a form and the result was the same — 502 Bad Gateway error.

The process reminded me of my dad trouble-shooting car issues back in the 1970s, when he would pull the connections off one spark plug at a time as the motor was running in an effort to determine what was wrong with the engine. Cars have come along way since then.

Hi, the problem is that this plugin does not control server issues. Try the following solution.

    Regards
