create own theme?

    Hi can you please tell me how to create my own theme in wordpress? the ones in the theme editor are not suitable for me. i would like to upload a photo and use it as my theme picture and keep the style i have already. can some one please explain to me what i have to do???? thanks look forward to the reply.     Btw. There’s plenty of other themes than the two that come with your WP pack. Just look here or “google” for WordPress themes.

    what many ppll do is trying to find a theme (there are hundreds available for free) that comes closest to your design. Once you have downloaded it into your themes folder you can set it as the theme for your site and then open your favourite html editor to change the CSS stylesheet and the xhtml template files until the theme matches your own site.
