• I have an old website that was built using html and have been using wordpress for the blog. I want to transfer the website over to wordpress because html takes to long. My question is now that the whole website will be wordpress, can I take my old blog and merge it into the new wordpress website? Is so how do I do this.

  • You can “transform” HTML site into WordPress Pages. You just need to plan ahead and make some decisions. There are many ways to go about it. Is HTML site in root and WP blog in folder?

Do you want to “move” content from HTML site to WP Pages in folder? You’d later have to redirect site to said folder among other things to do.

Do you want to “move’ WP install to root and insert pages to be copied from HTML site to there?

Actually I am looking to do a couple of things. I want to merge my old post from the blog into the new wordpress website I created.

The html is in the root directory. Right now wordpress is in a directory, once I get everything moved over, I am going to delete the html pages and move wordpress in the root directory
