Since I started my website and use Post Notif to remind subscribers for new posts, I sent about 7 post notifs. But on the page “View Post Notifs Sent” there are no posts mentioned.

    Hi theodelaruelle,

Are you, by chance, using Post Notif in a multisite environment? I ask because I discovered a couple of issues, while testing version 1.1.0, that affected multisite blogs specifically. One of which involved sent notifications not being displayed on the View Post Notifs Sent page. It is also technically possible that they truly did not get sent, though you’d know that’s not the case if you (or any of your subscribers) received them. The bug I found and fixed in 1.1.0 just changes the SQL select statement to return rows; the data is in the database, it is just not being displayed prior to the code change.

Please let me know if this helps.

    Thanks,
    Devon

    Hi Devon,

Sorry I didn’t answer you before.
I am not using it in a multisite environment. As I mentioned also in another post, some of my followers recieve a notification, Some don’t. So the notifs has been sent. But they are not recieved by everyone.

    Regards,

    Theo

    Hi Theo,

OK, thank you for the clarification (re NOT using multisite).

I will address all the other issues you raised in the other thread.

But I do want to make sure I understand the problem you raised here.

Is it true that you have been sending post notifications, which have been received by some of your subscribers, but none of the post notifications are being shown when you go to Post Notif >> View Post Notifs Sent?

    Thanks,
    Devon

Yes, that is true Devon. I’ve sent about ten notifications by now (automatically) and no notification is shown there.

Or do I have to send them manually by using the button at the bottom of the page where I change the blogs?

    Thanks,

    Theo

    Hi Theo,

Thanks for the super quick response! Now I’m a bit confused; you say you’ve sent notifications automatically, but as I mentioned in my reply (in your other thread), Post Notif does not send anything automatically; it requires the author (or an admin) of a post to either manually send or schedule for later send, using the button in the Post Notif metabox on the Edit Post page.

SO, I am very curious as to how you (or any of your subscribers) have received ANY post notifications (sent by Post Notif, that is), if you haven’t been pressing the “Send” (or “Schedule Send”) button! Do you, by chance, have another plugin installed that sends post notification (like Jetpack)? 🙂

    Thanks,
    Devon

    Hi Devon,

When I publicize a post, a post is send to some of my subscribers. But now I see that it is posted by WordPress and indeed not by Post Notif.

The Post Notif mail has a different layout. So I think that is the problem. I thought it was automatically send, but I have to use the button at the bottom of the edit page.

I will try that next time I publicize a new post.

Do you probably know how to switch of the mailing in WordPress. I have no idea. I use Jetpack, but not for sending notifications.

    Thanks,

    Theo

    Hi Devon,

I tried sending a notif and it works! My send notification is in the list. And as far as I know it is send to all subscribers!

WP also send a mail to other followers who subscribed via WP. So I’ve removed those e-mailadresses from WP.

    Thank you very much.

    Theo

    Hi Theo,

    That is great news!

I suspect there is a way, in the Jetpack configuration, to disable the sending of post notifications (so you don’t have to manually remove the addresses from there) but I have not used it myself so I’m not sure what the process is.

In any case, I am happy to hear you are all set.

    Thanks,
    Devon
