• Hi there,

Since the last update I’ve got an error message about the settings of my setup of pages. I’ve left the Members Page empty on purpose because when its assigned to the Members Area page it just takes people back to the home page, which is not what we want.

Could you have a look at this for me or let me know what I may have done wrong somewhere else?

    The website is: http://www.pacifictraining.es

    Thanks

    Hi @krissieg,

Can you please check the UM > Settings > Access > Global and let us know what your current setting is?

    Thanks.

I am having an issue with the member’s directory layout.
Before I purchased the core extension and was using the
ultimate member basic this was the member’s directory
    I had before.

What settings do I need to change on ultimate member in order to get the
    the top member’s directory?

Apparently your WP is running on a sub directory…

No, not that I’m aware of. Have you had a look to see what the problem is?
    Thanks very much in advance.

I am not sure about what you did. But, if your installations of both WP and UM were normal, then ideally your admin page profile would be at:

    http://pacifictraining.es/user/admin/

    Not this:
    http://pacifictraining.es/welcome/user/admin/

Check your permalink settings and tell us where is at.

Okay, I’ve checked and you’re right. I’ve now changed it so it’s http://www.pacifictraining.es/.
Please let me know what I should do next.

    Thanks

I’ve tried setting the Member Page to the Member Area page but it just jumps back to the home page and won’t let me in, despite being logged in. Can you explain if the Member Page should be for members only or is it where members are to log in so it’s global? I’m not sure where I’ve gone wrong. Can you please have a look?

    Thanks!

Did you install your script as http://www or just http://?

Check your wp-config file located in the root directory. See that the code matches your initial installation. You can also check your MySql wp_options table and see if the siteurl table is with www or without. Do you understand?

Oh and one more thing, what do you have under Admin => Settings => Permalinks ?

You can select ‘members’ there. Then you can go to Admin panel => pages => members => edit. Go to the UM access widget on the side and decide if you want it private or public.

Hi Borisv, I just installed it using WordPress. So whatever that does, then it was installed like that. The Permalinks are like this:

    http://pacifictraining.es

The settings for the Members’ Area page are already set as logged in members and admin only (see link: http://prntscr.com/d4410q). So would setting this page within the UM settings as the Member page cause the problem?
