    Hi,
After I installed your plugin, I noticed the fonts lost their CSS style. After I disabled the plugin the css came back.

Is there a way to fix this?

    thank you!

I think I solved it by disabling google fonts optimization. Please let me know if there is a better way to do this.

    Thank you!

hmm, now i have another problem, the images have all disappeared. Any thoughts?

I have deleted my cache but it is still a problem.

    Thanks!

This sounds like a very poorly coded theme or when the author didn’t enqueue the scripts and styles the right way into wordpress.

Which theme and version are you using?
Are there any modifications to the theme done by you or someone else?
    What is your site url?

Have you tried any other merging and minification plugins and does it work properly with any of those? Which one?

For now, you can disable the CSS processing and leave only the JS enabled.
After seeing the site url, I might have some clues on what’s the problem with your site.

    Hi Raul,

Thanks so much for your reply. The URL is http://www.chuckyeager.org, the theme is Newspaper V7 by Tagdiv.

I have not modified the theme other than a few minor tweaks, I am not using a child theme.

After trying yours my score improved dramatically but as I said The fonts lost their style and then I noticed missing images. I have not tried any other minification plugins.

If you like I can give you admin priviledges to poke around if need be. Thanks again for your help!

    Hi,

There were some issues with your theme, but it helped me improve the plugin and it’s now working.

You had some google fonts concatenated while others were not, so my plugin got confused and stripped the concatenated fonts (roboto).

You have included twice, font awesome. One is by the theme and another with some plugin.
My plugin will avoid duplicates, but there’s now an option to skip that too.

The HTML minification was breaking your images, because it stripped too much whitespace and html comments.
I have replaced the html minification library which is supposed to be better at this… and it’s also fixed.

Everything should be working fine, so you can now delete my account.

Thank you for helping improving the plugin.

    Raul,

Thank you so much, I appreciate all your help. Interesting about the font awesome, I wonder if a newer theme version included awesome and duplicated my efforts, or if I just installed incorrectly.

you are the best! I will sing the praises of your efforts and your plugin.

    Cheers!
