• I’m having issues with a static front page.

Seemingly randomly the site starts to forward traffic aimed at the root to ‘/en’, other times it correctly forwards to ‘/en/home’. Nothing changes apart from the redirect behaviour – anybody know what might cause this?

Also, I’m struggling with the help docs, as they state:

Is it possible to use a static front page ?

Then, if you want that the url looks like http://www.yoursite.com/en/ instead of http://www.yoursite.com/startpage/, just go in the languages settings panel and check the option ‘Redirect the language page to the homepage’.

I can’t find any ‘Redirect the language page to the homepage’ – I really wish I could, as it seem that it would be useful in my case. Where is this option?

  • Hi there.

+1. I have the same issues. And it’s seems like some glitch after plugin’s last upgrade.

@nathanhornby, i don’t know help it to you or not and did you see that setings.
Check out this place – in Option menu of wordpress find Languages. Open third tab (Settings) and find first module. It called something like “Modify URL”, dont know exactly, i have no english lang in administration panel. Click on configure link and in right side it have some settings. May be it’s that you looking for.
Sadly, changing this settings don’t help with static redirect problem.

Ok, plugin author fix it issue in next 2.0.7 version.
