Database and existing blog help

    Hi,

    Firstly I’d like to ask for help about installing WordPress onto my website. I’ve followed the “Famous 5-Minute Install”, however when I go to the /wp-admin/install.php it tells me to it says “Error establishing a database connection”. I’m sure I have the database info right, but I’m still very confused and frustrated at trying to install WordPress. Any help there?

    I also currently have a free WordPress blog, MindlessGames, and I’d like to just put that straight onto my website with the WordPress I’m struggling to install. Is it possible, and if so, how do I do it?

    1. Error establishing DB connection
    – double check info you placed in your wp-config.php at the root

    2. WordPress.com to self-installed
    At WP.com
    – Manage > Export – All users
    At self-installed WP
    – Manage > Import > WordPress

    Found out I shouldn’t use ‘localhost’, and thanks!
