As per your questions, related post are appeared there with the same category whereas previous and next post are appeared as the order of post published. If you want to navigate the previous and next post within the same category, you need to customize the theme. Please have a look in the codex to know about the post navigation function and customize it as your need.

You need to customize the the_post_navigation() function of single.php file.
If you have better knowledge about WordPress codes, you can customize the theme as your need. https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/the_post_navigation/ If you are not able to do it, you can contact the theme developer team for more help.
