Fatal Error on Activations

    Hi I just tried installing this plugin to use it and immediately got a fatal error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home3/newhomeo/public_html/johnspinnato/wp-content/plugins/feed-them-social/feed-them.php on line 71

    I tried using different themes and disabling all my plugins, as well as reinstalling the plugin again and I get the same result unfortunately. So I’m out of ideas. I can’t actually tell you what the current PHP version is but I know the hosting account was opened only a month or two ago so I have no reason to think it would be incredibly outdated. Please get back to me as soon as you can.

    Sorry for the troubles. This error is coming about because the php version is not 5.3 or above. That is the only time we see this error. Once you upgrade the php version to 5.3 or above all will be good.

    Usually an error message is shown when it’s below the required version, not sure why that did not trigger in this case.

    Usually you can login to your hosting and upgrade the php version. If not call your host and tell them, I’m positive they will upgrade you with no issues if the server company is reputable.
