• Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home/lonesome/public_html/wp-content/themes/sydney/inc/styles.php on line 192

I received this error when I tried to copy code into the style.php. I removed it so it has the original code but I still get this error.

    Hello @litlbitl,

Can you please create a new topic for your question and provide more details?

    Kind Regards, Roman.

    Resolved as well.

I made changes to styles.php, then (I thought) I removed them (all in editor) and saved the file, but the syntax error kept showing up. I had to log in via FTP and checked that php file again. Turned out that the editor kept the files with my changes and didn’t save the version where I removed all the changes.

So I had to examine styles.php outside of wordpress editor and remove all bad code manually and the upload to my site via regular FTP connection.

    Thank you for detailed explanation!

I think that it’s better to edit files outside WordPress, I always use text editor for this.

    Kind Regards, Roman.
