Blog Feed – If you select “Small Image Left, Excerpt Right”, the image that shows up on the left is the featured image of your post. So please go and edit your post and if there is no featured image assigned, you’ll need to upload one for the post (otherwise a default image will show up in its place). Let me know if you need any help doing that.
Blog Post – The featured image setting means that if specified, the featured image will show up at the very top of the post (at the beginning). You can choose to disable this and the featured image will only be shown in the blog feed (as mentioned above). When enabled, the featured image also shows up at the beginning of the blog post.
