All from Plesk or phpmyadmin. I don’t have any other admin accounts on the site to use. So I’m basically locked out for now until I can get back in.

    Hello Baurox,
Please reset your password from mysql database with md5 encrypt.
    Then try to login.

Have you used any plugin related to login attempt on sequrity.

    Thanks.

That worked but logs me out instantly, but now it just takes me to the homepage, not the admin dashboard. So how would I be able to get back to the dashboard?

Please go to Ftp or cpanel and tempary rename directory regarding this plugin.

Or check your htaccess file you have change wp-admin url to another for back-end sequrity.

this is NOT a plugin, this was standard wp files database.

The theme created the username and I went into phpmyadmin to change it back, then I got the error of activation emails.

Now I can’t even login or get to the user dashboard because there is a permission thing I believe causing it.

What do i do now ?

on more solution create backup config.php Then delete this one.
When You have run site add again whole details with database admin user name, email and password.

@ravi: there is no need to delete the site or and reinstall at this point.

@baurox: Do you still have access to PHPMyAdmin? If so, go back in and check/redo the username change: see https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/change-admin-username/

And, what do you mean by “The theme created the username”?
