Changed index.php file

    I changed my index.php file with the Theme editor and now I can’t get into my blog at all… just shows the header. How do I restore my index.php file?

    FTP?
    Or what if you changed your theme and then edit the one you mucked up again.

    I couldn’t change my theme because I couldn’t get into admin on my blog. I was able to edit the file through my web host, and change it back. Anyway that’s the last time I edit a file based on the advice of someone here.

    Anybody that says to edit a theme file online… is making a disservice to all. [and I was very mild now]
    NEVER use the idiotic online theme editor (the dumbest addition to WP of all times!).
    It doesn’t have an UNDO button.

    Edit your files on your machine – after making a backup copy – and upload the modified files via FTP.
