Editing Theme

    Sorry if this question has already been asked a thousand times, I did read through the entries here and didn’t see an answer for it…

    I’m trying to edit my theme, but apparently I’m not authorized to make changes. How to I make it so that I am authorized?

    Apparently, you are not “Administrator” for your account. Go to user section in your WordPress’s admin and double check your role.

    Also, to edit theme files from the theme editor the file(s) have to chmod 666. Be sure and change back to 644 after editing for security.

    Thanks guys (: I’ll be working on this as soon as my blog gets sorted out…my update to 2.6 didn’t go very well…

    I double checked and I am the Administrator, apparently i need to see the Codex before I start making changes though…so I’ll work with that first. Thanks guys!
