Love the plugin – it has a well-deserved place on my favorites list. But, I don’t like to have too many plugins active at the same time. Is it OK to disable RealFaviconGenerator once it has done its work and my lovely favicon is in place in all its sizes and versions?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback!

Unfortunately, you should keep it activated. As soon as you deactivate it, it is as if there was no favicon at all.

Now you face a recurrent WordPress question: will the plugin affect the performance of my site? The answer is “no”, the plugin has been designed to be very lightweight. So this plugin won’t annoy you, really.

    Does that clear your doubts?

Much appreciated phbernard. Will do as you advise.

Great! In the next version of the plugin, there will be a notice displayed on favicon creation that basically says “The favicon is created, and now keep the plugin activated”.
