Name of categories have disappeared when upgrade to 2.6

    I have upgrade from 2.0.* to 2.6

    The name of my categories have disappeared.

    I have the post divided into categories, but these have no name.

    WP dosen’t let me write on panel, or I can not see it.

    Likely transition from wp 2.0.* versions to wp 2.6 requires you go through some of the intermediate releases because categories management changed in those versions. Hence you cannot see anything.
    How to fix personally it would be cause of restoring back to what you had (assuming you have backups) and applying some of the intermediate upgrades first , i.e. wordpress 2.3.1 etc

    the other messy solution would be to see if you can edit the names in Admin->categories or in the db itself!

    I can not edit the names in Admin>categories, I dont’t know why.

    I am creating new categories (with the old names), and ,pving the post there.
