I would suggest going into the Icon Columns settings and setting each page once again – even the ones that are already set to the one you need. So click open the dropdown and set it to something else. Then set it back to the one you need. Then Save and Publish.

And how bout changing the page excerpt to suit my page title?
I’d like to know how to change the exert on the homepage too please?
Also, how do you change the icons please? When I try and type in any other icon name (from the link that gives compatible ones) it just shows up as blank?
Hello, You can explicitly specify the excerpts by entering it specifically in the Excerpt field. The field is not visible by default and you can turn it on by clicking “Screen Options” on the top right. More details on this here http://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/excerpt/

To change the icons – please go to http://fontawesome.io/icons/ and any of one you like. So for example, for a Facebook icon, you could type in fa-facebook or fa-facebook-square.
The images are not available in the free option – the Pro version has a new front page section that allows for any image to be upload and complete flexibility in the text and URL being linked to.
