    Hi
    I have strange issue that is occurring with my yoast, and hope you can help.
    1 – only my news category posts are affected, and when clicked showed a 500 error but my XML site map was working.
    2- If you go into wordpress -> settings and update your permalinks by just saving this fixed the issue of the 500 error and the news posts worked again but now my XML shows a 404 error?.
    3 – Also I can change the XML posts from 1000 to 500, this fixed the XML 404 error but brought back the 500 error for my news posts :{

    I have a fix for one but not the other, any help please.
    Hope you can help.

    Hi All,

    I have sorted this issue and hope the following can help.

    Yoast has advised there is an issue with the SEO news plugin v3.5. The issue is 3.5 breaks other urls that have the basename “news”. What I did was uninstall it and then as a workaround downgrade to the News SEO v3.4 until they release a fix for this issue. Notice that in downgrading to the News SEO v3.4, you won’t lose any settings or it won’t negatively impact on your SEO. After you have done this, go into wordpress -> settings and update your permalinks by just saving this and this fixed the issue and all was working again.

    Please let me know if you’ve any questions.
