Inventory function
-
hi, there,
Thank you for the plugin, i am just wondering for the quantity updated is it two way or one way? eg if quantity change from woocommerce it will also change quantity from ebay, is it the same case vice versa?
-
Hi @louisapple,
The “Synchronize Sales” feature of our plugin, when enabled it can reduce stock quantity in WooCommerce when an item is sold on eBay and vice versa.
Only the Pro version of WP-Lister for eBay has this feature.
Please visit this page to know How does the inventory sync work?
Kind regards,
Menchie
WP Lab Supportok, is that anyway i can link current ebay item? because i want to keep sale record, and i suggest for lock function, do not Synchronize the title as we need longer title/keywords in ebay than our own webiste
cheers
Hello louisapple.
If you have active items on eBay and you don’t want to end them and then list them as new listings from WP-Lister to eBay you can use our Import from eBay to WooCommerce plugin. Here are the requirements for using this plugin:
Requirements
-WP-Lister 2.x (Pro or free) needs to be installed and set up
-You need to have an eBay store account to import store categories
-An empty, single language WooCommerce site – multilingual sites are not supported
-Your server shouldn’t break under heavy load (Please read the FAQ – this plugin won’t work on a shared dreamhost webspace!)You can either run a clean import (Import Modes) which will import your eBay store category structure, import your eBay items into those newly created categories in Woocommerce, and connect the eBay listings with those Woocommerce listings (you must have an empty Woocommerce to do this, ie. no categories or products in Woo), or you can enable the “Match SKU” feature if you already have Woocommerce products in Woocommerce. If an SKU in Woo matches an SKU on eBay, the listings will be connected. Note: this “Match SKU” feature only works with simple products, not variable listings and the “Match SKU” feature will not create any categories or products in Woocommerce, it will only connect listings when a matching SKU is found.
Kind regards,
Johnok, how about the title issue?
and the new release eBay product identifiers (ePIDs)?
Hello louisapple.
You can control the title on eBay by using the “eBay title” field in the edit product page. So if you import from eBay to Woo, the eBay title will now be in Woocommerce. You can easily change the Woocommerce titles to whatever you want through a CSV plugin and also set the “eBay title” to whatever you would like as well: Can I update my inventory from a CSV file? You would use the “_ebay_title” header value to edit the eBay title.
What do you mean exactly, the new release eBay product identifiers (ePIDs)?
If you are asking about the changes eBay is making in 2017 in regards to product identifiers, mobile listing templates, active content, etc, yes we are aware of it and we will be complying with their new requirements, but their fall seller update has not given all requirements, details, or the ability to start testing these new features yet so we must continue to wait.
Kind regards,
Johnok, if whatever you put in ebay options from the product edit page eg title and price and product identifier, it will only Synchronize from there as they are fixed term? Because ebay and my own website might have different promotion and pricing, so i need some of the items not Synchronized each other
cheers
Hi @louisapple,
It depends whether your listing is lock or unlock.
“Locked listings” will have their inventory status – ie. price and quantity – updated instantly when you update a product in WooCommerce. All other details – like the listing title or description – will remain unchanged.
If you want WP-Lister to change your profile or update your listing template on eBay, you need to “unlock” an item.
This is explained in great details here – About locked vs unlocked listings
If you want the price to be different on eBay from the price on WooCommerce please go to Product > eBay Options > Price/Start Price this is where you can set the price you want the product to have when listing on eBay.
Or you can set the “Price / Start price” option in the listing “Profile” to change the price for many listings at once. You can use percentages as well, so if you want to reduce the price by 10% for all items using a particular profile, you would enter “-10%” as the price in that listing profile.
Kind regards,
Menchie
WP Lab Supportok, for instant i would like to mark down product A 10% for this month from ebay markdown manager, it will not update the price in my website which has set price from Product > eBay Options > Price/Start Price?
Hello louisapple.
You should not use the markdown manager as explained here: The eBay Markdown Manager
it will not update the price in my website which has set price from Product > eBay Options > Price/Start Price?
No, it won’t. Even if you didn’t have a set price in the “Price / Start Price” field. No matter what, changes made directly to listings on eBay will not be updated in your Woocommerce, which is why you should make all pricing changes, and changes in general, in WP-Lister.
Kind regards,
Johnbecause when you use the mark down from ebay, you will have original price and markdown price altoghter, do you have such function?
Hi @louisapple,
I think what you’re looking for is the Strike Through Pricing (STP) option. Which you can enable in your profile – http://www.wplab.com/plugins/wp-lister/documentation/profiles/#Other_Options
You can find out more about it here – Using the Strike Through Pricing (STP) option
