• Hi,
I had to move servers and now If I go to the site http://www.loanchecker.com.au the browser shows the wordpress message It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.

From reading help files I didn’t think I had to do a re install – just redirect to new server database ( I’ve changed config file ) Just want to check on this incase I re install and overwrite my existing contect etc.

    Can anyone advise on this?
    Thanks heaps
    Craig

oops shouldn’t have done that – I followed the prompt and completed the install and now the browser shows a clean install blog.

When I check the files with the FTP my uploaded files are all in place however the install doesn’t seem to call them up.

    any ideas?

    thanks,
    Craig

Have managed so far to activate the theme but can not get existing posts and pages.
Can anyone tell me where these are located so I can see if they have loaded into the new file structure?

I have a bad feeling that pages and posts may be located on the server database rather than in the wordpress files – Can anyone confirm this for me?

Wow! WordPress is very amazing community!

I have got the solution now, thanks to Whooami

Below is the fix, just follow the instructions, very simple!

When your website redirects to wp-admin/install.php [FIX] :

    1. Login to phpMyAdmin.
    2. Select the database and click on ‘Structure’ tab.
    3. Right under the list of table there is a “Check All” link. Click on it to select all tables.
    4. From a “With selected:” drop-down menu right next to it, choose “Check table”.

    To Repair:

    1. Login to phpMyAdmin
    2. Choose the affected database. If you only have one database, it should choose it by default so you don’t need to do anything.
    3. In the main panel, you should see a list of your database tables. Check the boxes by the tables that need repair.
    4. At the bottom of the window just below the list of tables, there is a drop down menu. Choose “Repair Table”
