How to trigger WP minor update

I have 4.5.3, I’m not ready for WP 4.6 yet, how to trigger minor update? I only able to do major update to 4.6 from my WP dashboard. I only want 4.5.4 for now and auto update failed to do its job. I don’t know why.

Any particular reason for not wanting 4.6? 4.6.1 was released a few days ago and addressed all the known major bugs: https://wordpress.org/news/2016/09/wordpress-4-6-1-security-and-maintenance-release/
If the auto-update failed and you still want just 4.5.4, you’ll need to get it from https://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/ and do a manual upgrade: https://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended
