Error establishing a database connection

    Hi, my site is live, but my /wp-admin showing error; how it would be possible that site is live but /wp-admin showing database connection error?

    for example;

    xyz.com is working fine but;
    xyz.com/wp-admin showing the error below;

    “Error establishing a database connection”

    any suggestions? so i can find where the problem is?
