    Hi all,

Thank you for the great plugin. We’re having an issue though, where highlighted dates (indicating there are events on that day) are not printing. When printed, it just looks like a blank calendar. After some research, I’ve come to understand this is up to a user’s browser settings and not something that can be accomplished strictly in the plugin code.

Do you have a solution for this issue, or any plans to remedy this problem? Ideally, you can have text in the event date that shows up only on print, like ‘3 events,’ or show the list of events on print.

Thanks for any feedback to you provide.

  • Hey there and thanks for writing in!

i’m afraid that is not a feature we’ve designed into the plugin. The good news though is that you should be able to highlight the date of the event when printing by targeting the .tribe-events-present class in the print CSS styles.

Here’s a post I found that should help with the process of setting up a print stylesheet:

Thanks for getting back to me, Geoff! The print styles are there, but Chrome is not displaying them unless you check ‘Background Graphics’ under it’s Advanced Options, which appears to be off by default, and I don’t believe most users will think to check there. I’m not sure it’s a fix that can be done by CSS alone, which is why I wanted to bring this to your attention. If you deem it’s worth investigating further, it may require some rethinking or recoding the markup.
