• This is a good plugin, does what it says, but could use a few tweaks…

    1) Use aria-hidden=”true” for icon elements (enhanced accessibility).

    2) Provide option to disable local icon libraries. As an example, I want to load Font Awesome from a CDN, I get both the latest version and it loads faster. But I can’t disable the loading of the older local version used by this plugin (unless I change the core files).

    3) Allow a generic icon placeholder, for use with custom/arbitrary icon libraries. The plugin inserts a blank icon element, the user types in the classes and takes care of the assets loading via the template.

    Thank you

  • Hi Evan, thanks for the feedback!

#1 & #2 are resolved in the newest version (just released).

For #3, I believe you can achieve that with the Fontello method.

#3 would be pretty cool to wouldn’t need a separate plugin for menu item Thumbnails….well I guess still would as Thumbnails are quite a bit larger then icons usually are lol
