Can’t Select Database

    On the blog page, we now get this error. It has worked fine before, and to my knowledge nothing has been messed with that could have caused this. I had a look and the database is definitely there, and named properly.

    The readme file says it’s WP version 2.1. This is a windows server *gag*

    There is a possibility that the database is corrupt, I am checking with the host to find that out, but I wanted to post here too in case there is a known fix, or this is a common issue that someone knows how to help us fix and wouldn’t mind doing so 🙂

    Can’t select database

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the combatf_blog database.

Are you sure it exists?
On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_wordpress. Could that be the problem?
If you don't know how to setup a database you should contact your host. If all else fails you may find help at the WordPress Support Forums.

    You’re getting a pretty specific error relating to database level permissions. Possibly your user’s permissions have been altered.

    For normal operation you should be able to get by with select, insert, update, delete and the ability to connect to the server. upgrades/installs would need a few more permissions.
