Allow Comments Private Posts

    Is there a tag or capability that can be added to user roles that allows a user to not only view but comment on private posts? Currently, my registered users can only view private posts.

    I used to use a plugin called Category Levels to manage this function so I know it is possible. However, with v2.5.1 it no longer functions and the author seems to have abandoned the plugin.

    Any help?
