I just recently installed WordPress for my father to use. He has tried to post an image into a blog post and when he chooses the add image button on the visual editor, it locks into a loading bar that never stops. I have tried the choice on firefox and ie and both work fine for me, is there some specific issue with mac based safari and the javascript or flash that WordPress uses in file uploads? And is there some way to solve it?

  • if the flash uploader is working it works fine on safari. make sure he has an up-to-date flash plugin. (i.e. flash 9 i think)

I just had him update flash, and the uploading still hangs

well all i can tell you is that the uploader works ok here with safari and a controlled local install of wordpress. sorry.

i haven’t myself managed to get a hosted server-based version of wordpress that the flash uploader works on, regardless of browser. but when it works, it works on all.
