• I am hardly a CSS guru but I had already been able to do much of what I had wanted, without this plugin, it was just hard work and very time-consuming. This plugin enable me to create complex layouts with complete control. With Page Builder you build posts and pages using rows and widgets like lego with drag and drop. Its not wysiwyg, its better, since it enables you to easily build the layout using widgets as content blocks (whatever the content). You do need to install the SiteOrigin Widget bundle since it includes some default widgets PageBuilder likes to use. You can use any widget, though SiteOrigin’s own bundle have some pretty good extra ones, you can use Jetpack’s as well as several other ones in the repository built in conjunction with SiteOrigin. I have found any incompability between my plugins or widgets and PageBuilder. There’s even a PageBuilder layout widget, so you can layout individual panels in a slider or rolling hero carousel.

All responsive too! One great extra is the ability to clone a page locally so you can duplicate it in any wordpress site (with this plugin). Shortcodes work for the most part in the TinyMCE text editor widget but not all text areas can use them but PageBuilder isn’t alone in this.

If you have an existing page with content, you can convert this content into a default one row one column pagebuilder layout (the content goes into the text editor widget). If you decide to uninstall the plugin, simple content isn’t lost. Having also made use of their excellent support I can safely give this 5 stars.
