Installing management interface to a subdomain?

I would like to separate the Admin portion of the WP install onto its own subdomain. For example, I would like the authors to use admin.mysite.com in order to login and do their work and this would then publish to http://www.mysite.com when complete. Anyone have any idea how to do this?

I tried the codex and only came up with http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory but that doesn’t seem to apply in this case.
