update: Good enough
-
It is not very good. There are a few minor bugs and lack of thinking.
One of them, for example:
It looks cool when the window is of full size, but then if one reduces the size of their window, the extreme right part of the image is covered and cannot be seen.I think this plugin is very new, and so obviously, it is not very good as of today. Hopefully, the plugin authors will improve it over time.
And, at least put up screenshots so that people who do not like the way it looks will not bother to install it.

Hello theadarshmehta,
I’m sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our plugin, however you’re right, this plugin is really new and we are fixing minor bugs everyday.
Thank you for your review and reporting this bug and the lack of screenshot we will be working on it as soon as possible.
Cheers,
Hello theadarshmehta,
Actually we were not thinking about having a review that fast, we just published a new version and even though I believe it works, it’s not perfect. We just wanted to have it here and have a few first feedback while we are working on it.
To make you really satisfied, what you would like have? For example, while being really light and neat, what a 5-stars lightbox would be?
We will do our best to catch this up π
It is very nice to get a response from both the plugin author as well as the plugin contributor. π
I have been looking for a very good lightbox that would satisfy all of my needs, but have not been able to find one. :'(
Here are some of the things I would highly recommend that you both implement/fix in your lightbox.
1) Make sure your lightbox adapts to the size of the screen/window. Now, your lightbox does that. But, as I reported earlier, your lightbox could not display the rightmost part of the image if after opening the lightbox the window is resized (a bug I suppose or whatever). So, basically, try to fix these types of bugs. Make sure that the lightbox smoothly adapts to the window/viewport’s size. There should a ‘very little’ gap between the image and the borders of the screen as that will make it look like a good lightbox.
2) Now, since the lightbox will adapt to the size of the window/screen, what if the image is very huge and needs more zooming in to be viewed properly?
For example, I have got a image of size 3000×3000 and it contains written tree diagrams and text, then the lightbox would display it as a say 1920×1080, so, it would not be readable! This is the main thing almost each and every lightbox creator forgot. So, I would recommend using your own mind (creativity) and adding some link or something to view the actual image itself (I mean the .jpg direct link) so that the user can zoom in and see the image clearly. I hope you are getting me. This is very helpful for mobile users especially. Or if you guys are great programmers, you might even figure out a way for the user to zoom in properly without leaving the page!I did not use your plugin long enough to think of more problems/deficiencies in the plugin, but first at least try to implement these two things.
3 stars is currently what your plugin deserves. Max to max 4 stars MAYBE.
Keep up the effort though!
And keep me posted! π

Can you try the latest version? Normally that is fixed and works well everywhere π
2) Now, since the lightbox will adapt to the size of the window/screen, what if the image is very huge and needs more zooming in to be viewed properly?
The zooming is a bit tricky and would make the plugin much heavier. It was not really the goal of that plugin that we wanted to keep purposely light.
Please try and review us accordingly π Since you are the first review, basically users will come or run away based on it, haha. Otherwise we might consider it’s a failed launch and remove it (updating a zombi plugin is not very useful).
I tried it again…
Here are some more points I would like to add…
DO KNOW THAT I am rating it 4 star just to motivate you and see you happy. I do not think this app deserves 4 star at all. Please improve it. Find more bugs yourself. I am pretty you are capable enough to do that.1) First of all, I don’t want to sound as a rude person or a demotivator but I do not think users will like this plugin over other light weight light box plugins because simply said currently it has many minor bugs which I don’t even have the time to mention. So if people come and see my review and leave, I think that is only fair. You must find those bugs out yourself rather than me doing so. Anyways, in the next points I have mentioned some of the bugs.
2) In the homepage of the blog, where several posts are listed with their featured images, the plugin should not start working there. When someone clicks on the featured image, he/she should be sent to the post. Your plugin opens the light box for each and every image (including the featured images on the homepage) which is not good and irritating. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. FIX IT!
3) On some images (for example on my blog – http://www.theadarshmehta.in/blog/how-to-enable-gzip-on-your-website/2015/12 post’s image – right now I have disabled the plugin though) the plugin displays the exact same image displayed on the post and not the full size version of it. But in other posts, it is working fine. I do not know what is causing this, but if you do, figure it out please and fix it!
4) Have a look at these images in sequence:

http://i.imgsafe.org/d841b63.jpg
http://i.imgsafe.org/d89f0de.jpg
http://i.imgsafe.org/d8f284e.jpg
As you can see, the right side lob sided light box problem still persists! It irritates me a lot. Looks ugly.5) Zooming problem is out of the question now as you do not want to implement it. So never mind!
6) Your light box stretches the image completely to fit the screen (even if the image is very small). I looks good sometimes and sometimes it does not. Its your call. I’d say (if you can) provide an option to the admin to enable or disable the stretch feature.
KEEP IT UP!
Thank you.
Hello theadarshmehta,
First of all, Thank you for your ( second ) review, be sure we are working on the issues you reported, hopefully some of them were already known and we are almost done fixing them. But as you might guess, both Jordy and I are really busy with our jobs and studies and we can’t dedicate all our time to free plugins like this one, even if in my case I would love to. That’s why some issues are still there, not because we are not aware of them but because we want to fix them correctly which requires some time even for simple issues.
That being said, about your responsiveness issue, are you sure you have the latest version installed ? From what i see you are using firefox and this browser is working perfectly fine for me.
Thank you
Take a closer look m8. It is not Firefox, it’s Google Chrome.
And if you are busy with jobs and studies, then no problem. Take your time and notify me when all these bugs are fixed 100%.
Thank you.
