Goodbye NextGen Gallery. Hello MaxGalleria

I’ve been looking for a replacement or alternative for the NextGen Gallery plugin for some time, but couldn’t settle on anything, specially because of the way most plugins and WordPress itself handles image organization. NextGen stores images from galleries on their own folders instead of dumping them all in just one folder or by date, which is very troublesome with tons of images that need to be categorized.

Enter MaxGalleria and and Media Library+ which is a simpler way to manage images, an enhancement to the built in WordPress media manager and capable of creating folders to organize files and move them around. It’s a great plugin.

Also, I was having an issue with Bedrock support, which I now use for all my projects, and an update with the fix was released hours within my request. Great support!
