You can find options to change image sizes at WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display. Note that you may need to regenerate thumbnails after making changes here.
If it is not making changes, then you may need to investigate into the theme you are using, as it could be overriding this with CSS. Perhaps try out Storefront and see if the issue still exists.

I cannot figure out what it is, no matter what image or size of image it is not playing.
There isn’t a lot on the site yet but I am making sales and have adwords ads out there so don’t really want to take it down and start again.

I am having a similar problem. I have t change the size displayed for related products in the code. Bu I am not a programmer. I have no idea where to find it. And I’m not getting adequate help anywhere. It’s no wonder small business people pay others to create the page for them. This is ridiculous.
