• I tried many of the recommended and/or popular backup/migration tools and wanted one that worked before I put money down. Most could not support the size of the template that I needed to migrate. You got the impression that support for the “free” version was way down on the list of priorities. All-in-One WP Migration has a button on the Free version that says Need Help and they get back to you promptly. There is a posted issue about a change coming in the next version which will improve reliability. The thing is I was able to backup, export and migrate the files from development to production with this tool, but not with the more well known tools. The vendor was there with support when it was needed. I was very impressed. The tool has built in recognition for a domain change and automatically takes care of this in the database. One area that still needs to be addressed in the location of the media directory. This appears to be a common problem as I saw the same error listed many times on the Internet, when I was searching for a resolution. Overall I would recommend this tool. Just be patient if at first it does not work and try it again. It may be delayed on some sites and has to be stopped and started again. This should be fixed with the next revision.
