• I tried to install a new plugin a few days ago, wp-polls. I installed it according to its instructions, but it didn’t show up in my dashboard. Now, two days later, I go to my blog and I’m getting “database out of date, please upgrade” instead of my blog. But when I click on upgrade, I get a 404 error. What’s going on??? Did this plugin kill my blog??

  • Did you disable that plugin, or better yet, delete its folder from your /plugins folder? Doing either of those might restore your blog to its pre-bad plugin condition.

I did delete the plugin from the plugins folder. It didn’t change anything.
