Free WordPress Theme – City Scape

    I have just released my first free wordpress theme called City Scape. The
    license: GNU/GPL (You may change it in any way as you like, just don’t remove the graphic link from the footer)

    This is a very basic theme, that does validate. When you view the demo it will tell you that it doesn’t validate because of the theme switcher plugin (i’m gonna look into it so i can fix) but it does validate ;o)

    Anyway this theme does not come with any hidden code of any kind or sponsored links.

    Is that the default theme on your site? I only found one WordPress theme, and it was not free. If it’s the default you’re talking about, WOW! It doesn’t look simple to me, it looks great though.

    I think this will go straight to the demo with the theme showing:

    City Scape

    You have to put index.php?wptheme=CityScape” at the end of the URL.

    I normally don’t like dark backgrounds but this one’s kind of nice – I like the header a lot. And you’ve also got the text light enough that I can read it – lately I’ve been seeing a lot of darker gray text on black that I have to select in order to see (like the top of this site, for example).

    Anyway, good work!

    hahaha i guess I got excited about releasing this and just forgot a bunch of stuff. Thanks for the help. I installed that theme switcher plugin because I do have some other themes I am going to release. I just assumed people would use the switcher. So I guess Ill go in and change the demo link. Thanks for the kudos, appreciate it.

    Two snaps and two thumbs up. I’m glad you provided for wrapping text around images in posts. So many theme designers don’t bother. The only thing that would make it perfect is Definition List (DL/DT/DD) styling (I use that all the time)!

    This is a pet peeve of mine. If I can create a validating site, surely some of these plugin authors can put validating code in their plugins. Grrrr.

    I got it fixed…i believe it may have been on my end but not sure. Anyway shes fixed now ;o)
