Let me ask you a question Bob, I know there is a pro version of this plugin which I suppose would be great for people who use coming soon pages all the time, but I am using this on my own site only until I get the site built. The pro version does about 100 things I don’t need and will never use, I only want one function, the mailchimp integration. I know I can export the file and import but that delays the confirmation email and some people may not recognize it, or may have second thoughts about opting in a day or 2 later. How difficult would it be in your opinion, to customize this plugin with just the mailchimp integration for the signup form.
thanks
Hi Tom, actually the current pro version I pitch is a competing pro product, not my own. However, coincidentally – just this week I started the process of designing out a pro product of my own, one that will be simpler than the other pro product and will also include mailchimp support.
At this point I haven’t looked into the mailchimp API but as I do research over the next few days I should be able to get a better handle on things. I’ll let know what it would take to add just the mailchimp integration portion.
When is your anticipated ‘go live’ date?

I have the coming soon page live now, the main site somewhere between 30 – 60 days at this point, so it may be a little late to work in the integration. Let me know what you find out though, if I could get mailchimp in this it would be perfection…

Hi Bob, quick question, any way to put a tracking code in the footer? I added my code but doesn’t seem to track landings. I didn’t think it would as the footer edit looks like text only. Not a big deal but would be nice…
thanks
Hi, that SHOULD work – I just did a quick test by plopping the following javascript in that footer box:
<script>alert(‘test’);</script>
And was presented with the alert when I refreshed the page. That indicates javascript is running on there when inserted into the footer.
When you added the code did you surround it with the <script> tag? If not, give that a try.
If you already tried that could you leave it in there and let me know what your domain is? I may be able to see if something funny is going on.

Sorry for the late reply Bob, I’m up to my earlobes in setups for the website and if I get off track I leave things undone and forget. I really appreciate your response and I will revisit this asap, and get back with what I find. Your help has been outstanding and I thank you greatly for that…
