    I just did this and it worked. no joke. go to this link

    wordpress.org/plugins/download-manager/developers/

    Downgrade and install version 2.5.97 delete the 2.7.6 update and I promise you It will work, and you will get all your links back to what it was before this horrendous 2.7.6 update.

    AND DO NOT EVER UPDATE, EVER OR IT WON’T WORK ANYMORE!!!
